External Scholarships & Writing Competitions
Detroit Mercy Law students are encouraged to seek out and apply for external award opportunities to help finance their investment in legal education.
External organizations, such as bar associations, law firms, and community foundations, offer funding opportunities to students through scholarships and writing competitions. Students will receive emails about opportunities from the law financial aid office throughout the year. Students are encouraged to refer to the Career Services Office’s resources when preparing application materials.
