    Cross-Border Dual JD

    The cross-border Canadian & American Dual JD Program is a collaboration between Detroit Mercy Law and Windsor Law.  The Dual JD program is the only comparative program of its kind in North America in which students earn two law degrees in three years.  The law schools are located just four miles apart from each other, which allows for an integrated course of study at both law schools.  As a student in the program, you will attend class on both sides of an international border at both law schools, often on the same day.  You will experience two different legal cultures.  You will earn a JD from both Detroit Mercy Law and Windsor Law.  You will graduate eligible to be licensed in both the US and Canada.  You will be prepared for a transnational legal career.

    Detroit Mercy’s Accelerated 6-Year Law Scholars Program enables students to earn both a bachelor's degree and a Juris Doctor in six years rather than the traditional seven.

    Oakland University and Detroit Mercy Law have partnered to offer a unique program that allows you to earn your bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor in six years rather than the traditional seven.

    To be considered for admission to Detroit Mercy Law you must have

    Earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale

    Scored at least a 154 on the LSAT
