It's official:  30 days remain until exams are over and a well earned break presents itself.  The challenge will be to remain focused as the weather gets warm (hopefully), friends start emerging from their winter hibernation, and events at school and around town begin to seem worthwhile again.  Really, what happens to me is that I start looking for any and every distraction available in order to do anything but study. That is a recipe for disaster.   To avoid that result, I do my best to set a schedule with some deadlines so that I keep on track and don't run out of time to properly prepare before the exam day arrives.

This week the goal is to finish all the assigned reading for the semester and to start filling in any holes that I have in my outlines.  Next week I hope to have a complete outline for each class to use for review.  The final week will consist of practice questions - lots and lots of them.  Well, these are the goals...whether they are reached is the challenge.

Oh yea - there is one more challenge that remains after exams - that is the ability to refrain from talking about the exam!  It is easier said than done.  Unless you want to feel like you bombed your exam you probably don't want to talk about it with anyone (including non-classmates). Don't think about it, don't write about it, and don't doubt yourself.

For me, once that last exam is submitted there will only be a warm and sunny vacation on my mind and if I'm discussing an exam during that then I may need an intervention!
