I hope everyone is having a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! 

For me, it’s been not-so-enjoyable. Thanksgiving was nice, although I did do some work on my brief that evening. Black Friday involved five hours of working at Bath and Body Works, and then more work on my brief, along with a mild freak out. 

Today is the day where everything needs to come together. It seems like many of my classmates are on the finishing touches, and here I am with one whole section of my argument that hasn’t been written yet! Yikes! I pretty much know what I’m writing for this argument, I have the quotes and different examples picked out…now it’s just a matter of writing it! After I finish this section, I want to rework my introduction and one of the other sections, and add to the last section. Not a lofty goal or anything...Our brief was due on Monday, and the deadline was extended to Wednesday. However, I have the background section of my law review piece due on Thursday, so really, this brief needs to be done by Monday. My hope is that I can get my rest of it written today, and then be able to play around with it a bit more tomorrow, and then have it ready to turn in on Monday. Then, I will spend the next three days doing even more research and writing for law review, and once that is done, I can shift my focus back to my impending final exams. 

First things first though, get this argument written…

Meagan is a May 2012 graduate of UDM Law. She was admitted to the Michigan Bar in November, and she recently joined the Grand Traverse County Prosecutor’s Office as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney.

During law school, Meagan was active around the School of Law as the Law Review's Executive Editor of Outside Articles and the Vice-President of the St. Thomas More Society. She participated in the Criminal Trial Clinic, and took advantage of two internships with the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office and a summer internship with Judge Stephen Murphy of the Eastern District of Michigan.

In her free time, Meagan also serves as a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, enjoys tap dancing, and can't resist reading a good book.
