Special Summer Program
Thank you for considering the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law's Special Summer Program (SSP) at the time of your application to law school. This Web site is dedicated to those admitted to the SSP. SSP participants are encouraged to check this site frequently for recent news, reminders, and summer housing listings.
The SSP is an eight week non-credit course. Mandatory Orientation is scheduled for Thursday, May 22, 2014 beginning promptly at 6pm. Classes begin Tuesday, May 27, 2014.
Mandatory Evening Orientation - Thursday, May 22
Classes Begin - Tuesday, May 27
Final Examination - Monday, July 21
Mandatory Orientation and all classes will be held at the UDM Law campus unless otherwise indicated.
All SSP participants are required to possess and conspicuously wear a UDM identification card while at UDM Law. The UDM identification card also serves as an access card that allows entry into the classroom spaces at UDM Law. SSP participants should stop in the Student Service Center (SSC) at UDM Law to have their photo taken for the card. Participants are encouraged to have their photo taken by Wednesday, May 14.
Those who already possess a UDM card (faculty, staff, and current students) do not need to participate in this process as their access card will be updated to allow access beginning May 22.
SSP participants who wish to park in the UDM Law student parking lot may purchase a permit for $30. Parking permits may be purchased in the UDM Law SSC. The permit allows access to all UDM student parking lots, including those located at the UDM McNichols Campus.
