UDM Law Sponsors Wayne Elementary for the Holidays

The UDM Law Community Service Committee recently organized a festive holiday party for 100 students, 100 parents, and the entire staff of Wayne Elementary School, a Detroit Public School.

It was truly an amazing afternoon filled with excitement, laughter, smiles, and goodwill. Everyone was fed a delicious, hot holiday meal followed by a visit with Santa.  Santa was able to give each student two wrapped presents, a children’s book, and a gift bag filled with hats, gloves, and school supplies.  Each child also left with a photo of his/her visit with Santa and two bags filled with food and a toiletry bag.  All of the wonderful donations were the result of the generosity of many in the UDM Law community. The day proved without a doubt that it is sincerely better to give than to receive!
