Upper Level Critical Legal Skills Lab (2101)
This course, which focuses on enhancing students’ ability to engage in legal analysis, is coordinated with the subject of Criminal Procedure. Students will be required to engage in a variety of homework and in-class assignments that may include (i) submission of case briefs and class notes, (ii) written analyses of hypothetical problems and practice essay questions, including spotting issues, formulating issue statements and rule statements, comprehensively organizing analyses, and evaluating well written and poorly written essays, and (iii) practice of multiple choice questions, including taking quizzes. Students currently enrolled in Criminal Procedure will have enrollment priority. Students who have taken Criminal Procedure in the past may be added to the class, if there is room available. The course is graded Pass/No Pass.
